The origin

25+ years at the intersection
of ancient wisdom and institutional life

The formation did not begin in a classroom. It began in encounters — with teachers, traditions, and territories that understood healing as a relationship between a person, a community, and the land beneath both. Andean and Amazonian lineages. North American shamanic traditions. A Qigong master who taught through silence. Yoga, pranayama, and somatic practice studied long before they became industry. HeartMath — the science of heart-brain coherence — explored from the source before it had a certification track.

That formation has been held alongside more than a decade of institutional life — leading wellness operations inside higher education, designing programs and experiences that serve campus communities, and carrying the particular knowledge that comes only from being inside the system the work is meant to transform. A funded DEI grant honoring the indigenous stewards of the land. Regional and national stages. And the slow, clear understanding that what institutions need most cannot be delivered from the outside.

The Resguardo Method is what that understanding produced — a proprietary institutional wellness transformation methodology built to read what a system cannot yet say about itself, before anything is recommended or changed.

Begin

The work begins
with a real conversation

Every engagement starts with a reading — not a pitch, not a proposal. A conversation about what your institution is actually experiencing and what wants to emerge.
